"My favorite thing that Seth had told me was, when you're done playing, how do you want to remember playing the game? Do you remember it being fun or do you remember how it was whenever you're just stressed out and anxious? And that has really st with me. And I'm glad to say, as I'm playing now, I have fun."

Tyler Bailey is a dedicated baseball player who, despite his love for the game, found himself in a challenging situation that made playing a source of stress rather than joy. Before connecting with Soul Throwers, Tyler was struggling with significant physical and mental hurdles that threatened to derail his passion for baseball.

The Challenge

Tyler was facing a severe case of the "yips," a condition that made throwing incredibly difficult and frustrating. He described hating to show up to the field and throw, even though he still loved the game itself. The yips were so bad he couldn't even play catch, and throwing a fastball for a strike was nearly impossible. Beyond the mental block, Tyler also suffered from terrible knee pain and tendonitis, making simple movements like bending down painful. This combination of physical discomfort and mental anxiety left him feeling stressed and anxious about playing.

"I didn't want to quit baseball, but I absolutely hated showing up to the field. I hated throwing, but I still loved the game, if that makes sense. But yeah, I had the yip so bad I couldn't even play catch."

The Solution

Tyler found his solution in Soul Throwers, specifically working with Seth. He was fortunate to secure an in-person training slot, which proved to be a pivotal moment. Seth's approach resonated with Tyler, especially since Seth had experienced similar struggles with throwing. The training involved unique throwing drills and workouts, vastly different from anything Tyler had tried before. Crucially, Soul Throwers also focused on a significant mindset shift, teaching Tyler how to think for himself and understand what truly matters in his game and life.

"I really think this guy could help me. And did he help me? I remember just all the workouts that we did, all the just the throwing drills that we did was totally different than anything I'd ever done in the past. And yeah, it worked."

The Results

The transformation Tyler experienced with Soul Throwers was profound and multifaceted. Physically, he regained the ability to play catch like a normal person, a feat he once thought impossible. His knee pain vanished, allowing him to perform exercises like reverse Nordics and jump higher than ever, even dunking a flat basketball—something he never imagined he could do. He became significantly stronger and more explosive, lifting heavier than ever before. Athletically, his body felt better and more coordinated. On the mound, his average fastball velocity increased, with a memorable game where he didn't throw a fastball under 90 mph. Mentally, Tyler rediscovered the joy of playing baseball. He now has fun showing up to the field, free from the stress and anxiety that once plagued him, armed with a new mindset that empowers him to think for himself and focus on what truly matters.

"I still remember playing catch like a normal person for the first time. And I couldn't believe it because I didn't think I'd ever be able to do it again... I'm glad to say, as I'm playing now, I have fun. I have fun showing up to the field, and I think that's made all the training that I did totally worth it."

"Yeah, I've definitely noticed the change in my velocity. Average fastball. Vila was up. I had a game where I didn't throw a fastball under 90, which was pretty cool. This past spring. Yeah. I mean, when you feel better, you're going to throw harder, and that's what they help you do."
